One Big Switch to create 20 jobs as new European HQ opens in Dublin

A total of 20 new jobs will be created by One Big Switch Dublin with the opening of our new European headquarters in Dublin.

The announcement was made by the Minister for Agriculture, Marine and Food Minister Simon Coveney TD on a St Patrick’s week visit to Australia where he met with One Big Switch founder Lachlan Harris.

The new jobs will be created over the next two years for posts in IT, media and campaign management, customer service, public relations and administration.  The investment is supported by the Irish Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

In Sydney Minister Coveney said: “One Big Switch is a highly innovative consumer driven company.  I am delighted to announce the company’s decision to locate its European HQ in Dublin.  This is a strategically important development for the company and Ireland will play a pivotal role in its international expansion.”

One Big Switch founder Lachlan Harris said: “One Big Switch has proved a major success for Australian consumers and is now one of the fastest growing consumer networks in the world.  We are delighted to establish our European Headquarters in Dublin, Ireland where our first campaign to reduce home energy costs is currently underway and membership targets have already been exceeded before campaign end.”

Irish co-founder Oliver Tattan said: “Just three weeks after launch One Big Switch has won huge support from Irish consumers who have signed up to the campaign in their tens of thousands.
